Time Warp Wedding.

When I think of photographing weddings, it takes me back to a time when I first started earning a living from photography. Whilst doing post production for a photographic studio, I was asked if I owned a DSLR camera, and after saying yes, was sent off to shoot my first wedding... with only minimal experience from previously assisting. Talk about a stressful situation!

Many weddings and years later, I ended up taking a hiatus from shooting commercially and instead concentrated more on freelance retouching. But I cannot deny my interest in photography and I've been keen on getting back into it for some time. So when I discovered an opportunity to help out recently, I immediately took it.

Five minutes into shooting at the venue and all the familiar feelings of photographing a wedding came flooding back to me. I guess, as they say, it's like riding a bike. And by that, I mean a very meticulously planned bike ride with a bride, groom and 65 guests as passengers. And no brakes.

Thankfully it all went very well and the day was a success. May Leandri and Altus have a wonderful lifetime together filled with happiness!
